Fishing in Southwest Michigan

Feb 15, 2024

Looking for a getaway that includes the opportunity for a little quiet fishing time on the lake? Book your next relaxing stay with us and escape to peaceful rural Southwest Michigan.

Scott Lakes Properties has 14 total beautiful homes: Nine are lakefront homes, but the rest include off-premises lake access.

Many of our guests reach out to us to ask if fishing is allowed, and we’re happy to let you know that you can fish both Upper and Lower Scott lakes. You may find bluegill, pike, largemouth bass, crappy/specks, perch, or even catfish in our lakes.

The sport of fishing is very popular in the state of Michigan, though you do need a license in order to participate. The fastest way for all folks aged 17+ to obtain a fishing license is to go directly to the official Michigan DNR website.
